Melody S. Martin
Ph.D., Au.D., CCC (SP-A), FAAA, FADA

Dr. Melody Martin, Ph.D., Au.D., CCC/SP-A, CEO and founder of Martin Audiology, is a pioneer in the field of Speech Pathology and Audiology in Texas. For over three decades, Dr. Martin has dedicated her life to providing quality, professional care to thousands of children, adults, and families through her four Martin Audiology locations.

As founder and former chief of the Speech Pathology and Audiology department at a local hospital, Dr. Martin established several out-patient programs for the speech and hearing impaired in Central Texas that are still in effect today.

Dr. Martin has authored numerous articles in professional and trade journals on various speech and hearing topics and is a guest lecturer at junior college and university campuses. She routinely supervises doctoral Audiology students in clinical field rotations from several cooperating universities, both in and outside of Texas. In addition, she is active in clinical hearing research and is invited to present research findings to various academy meetings.

As a commitment to maintain excellence in patient care, Dr. Martin holds a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, a Doctorate in Health Services and more recently obtained a second Clinical Doctorate in Audiology.

Dr. Martin is an activist for the issues of the hearing impaired, participating in mission trips locally and abroad and is active with local agencies, schools, and foundations ministering to the needs of individuals with communication and hearing disorders. She is also active with other civic and professional organizations both locally and on the state level.



Curtis E. Martin, M.A., BC-HIS

Curtis Martin, M.A., BC-HIS, is board certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences and is the co-founder of Martin Audiology Associates. He is a dedicated hearing professional with over 15 years of experience in helping thousands of hearing impaired people hear as well as humanly possible.

Curtis is active in various professional organizations including the Texas Hearing Aid Association where he currently serves as incoming President for the 2011 – 2013 term of office. He is also active in the International Hearing Society.

As a musician himself, Curtis has taken a special interest in helping musicians protect their hearing through the use of in-the-ear-monitors fitting recording artists such as George Strait and his Ace in the Hole Band, Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Ray Benson & Asleep at the Wheel, Kevin Fowler, Tommy Shane Steiner, Wade Bowen, Django Walker, Aaron Watson, and Pauline Reese.



Jill Mendez, Au.D., FAAA
Location: Georgetown

Dr. Mendez received her Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Doctor of Audiology from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her clinical fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona specializing in diagnostic audiology, hearing aids, cochlear implants, Baha, vestibular testing, and evoked potentials. After completing her Doctorate, Dr. Mendez was the Director of Audiology at Arizona Ear Center where she focused on cochlear implants, Bahas, and hearing aids in children and adults.

Dr. Mendez is dedicated to excellence in hearing healthcare and to the highest standards of professionalism. She believes in providing the most appropriate hearing technology for individuals through testing with state-of-the-art equipment



Elizabeth Carson, M.S., FAAA
Location: Waco


Elizabeth Carson has been an Audiologist for over 17 years. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. She received her Masters of Science Degree in Communications Disorders with an emphasis in Audiology from the University of Texas in Dallas where she attended the prestigious Callier Center for Communication Disorders. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Elizabeth focuses on individual needs and characteristics in re-establishing communication for her hearing impaired patients by assessing the physical, mental, and social aspects of each person's life.
